All correspondence from delegates regarding registration is handled efficiently using this system and event conveners are able to download reports at any time.

Directors

Sally Bary

Sally has gained extensive experience and expertise in the convention and travel industries from a career spanning 35 years. Previous roles include management positions abroad with international airlines and ownership and management of a specialist corporate travel agency in Perth, Western Australia. On returning to New Zealand in 1991 Sally lectured in tourism studies at the Waikato Institute of Technology (now WINTEC) prior to establishing Forum Meeting Planners Ltd in 1993.

Sally has been an active leader for the past 12 years in the development of convention industry education in New Zealand.

In 1997 Sally established the MEETINGS exhibition in conjunction with Conventions & Incentives New Zealand. This show has become an integral part of growing New Zealand's domestic and international convention and incentive travel business which for the 2008 show was expected to result in around $180 million of business being secured.

Sally is Managing Director of ForumPoint2.

Dallas Fisher

Waikato based businessman Dallas Fisher brings an entrepreneurial approach to everything he does. He is a shareholder/director of:

The events sector is an area of specialisation, with involvement in a wide range of activities including the Hamilton 400 V8 Supercars. Dallas is also an independent director of the Chiefs Super 14 franchise and Board Chairman of Go Bus Ltd.

Dallas is a previous category winner of the Ernst Young Entrepreneur of the Year. He brings significant skills to ForumPoint2 from not only the events sector but other industry sectors in which he is involved, including manufacturing, catering, transport, tourism and publishing, advertising and web and the dairy industry.

Dallas is the Chairman of the Board of ForumPoint2.

Linda Kelly

Linda is an experienced project manager, with a strong 'hands on' approach to every project in which she is involved. She enjoys the practical application of building a creative vision, and the implementation challenge of taking brilliant ideas from concept to realisation.

Her career spans 30 years in a variety of industries from book publishing and farming to events and hospitality. She has held management roles in publicity, marketing, events, hospitality and business development.

Linda was Event Manager for the popular Balloons over Waikato Festival for four years before joining Montana Catering to manage the logistics of providing catering at large scale public events such as the Hamilton 400 V8 Supercars and A1GP World Cup of Motorsport. She also manages the prestigious Westpac Waikato Business Excellence Awards Black Tie Dinner for the Waikato Chamber of Commerce.

As Project Director for ForumPoint2, Linda works full-time in the business, leading a talented team of people managing existing and future projects for Montana Catering and other clients.

Peter Stark

Having devoted over 20 years as a Hamilton Restaurateur and 15 years as a Caterer, it would be reasonable to describe Peter as committed to the hospitality business.

As a founding partner in Montana Catering, Peter saw an opportunity to promote and deliver corporate catering at a new level, initially in Hamilton and later, the central North Island. Peter specialises in planning and managing front of house food and beverage service to the client across all areas of this large catering operation.

In addition to being the Managing Director of Montana Catering, Peter has a restaurant consultancy business, is a director of ForumPoint2, and is Chair of Wintec's Hospitality Employment Partnership Group.

Under Peter's direction Montana Catering has received numerous awards including 'Best Emerging Business' in 2003, and the 'Wintec Tourism, Hospitality & Entertainment Award' in 2007 at the Westpac Waikato Business Excellence Awards, in addition to Hamilton City Council Food Safety Excellence Awards every year for the last five years at Waikato Stadium.

Management & Support Staff

Lee Picken - Project Manager
Lee’s career in the convention and incentive travel industry (C & I) spans 10 years, during which time Lee has established an impeccable reputation for leadership and her knowledge is invaluable for our client base.

Lee managed the Convention Bureau in Queenstown for 3 years and during this time she was a key player in the growth of New Zealand’s convention bureaux and was pivotal in raising the profile of Queenstown to the C & I market worldwide. Lee also gained considerable experience in the delivery of incentive travel and awards programmes whilst working for Telecom for 6 years as the incentive manager taking large corporate groups off shore.

In 2008 Lee held a key role in the Hamilton 400 V8 Supercars 2008 as manager of staffing for the public hospitality division of this event.

Lee believes that building strong relationships with clients, staff and suppliers are paramount to running a successful event.
Daryne Begbie - Project Manager

Daryne has been involved in event management for the past ten years, organising a variety of trade shows, conferences, workshops and product launches.

Daryne is ForumPoint2's specialist in managing the comprehensive and confidential logistics process involved in regional and national awards programmes, and for organising memorable events for their presentation. She is the dedicated Project Manager for the NZ Institute of Architects.

Sandra Jenkin - Finance Manager

During her eight years at ForumPoint2 Sandra has been responsible for managing the finances of all ForumPoint2 projects, and those of MEETINGS. She has also worked at MEETINGS for the same period with responsibility for on-site personnel.

Sandra's career has included working for financial institutions and for a large international company as export sales and distribution manager, which included responsibility for client liaison and the management of new business systems.

Melanie Robinson - Project Coordinator

Melanie has worked in office administration for more than 18 years. Her meticulous attention to detail has seen her excel in her project coordination role at ForumPoint2, where she has particular responsibility for conference registrations, delegate liaison and client database management.

Melanie is responsible for keeping our office running smoothly and is the first point of contact for our clients and suppliers.

Kate Williams - Project Coordinator

Kate has recently joined the team at ForumPoint2 after graduating from the University of Canterbury with a Graduate Diploma in Management and Marketing following completion of her degree in Recreation Management from Lincoln University.

Kate was a key member of Montana Catering's project team for the 2009 Hamilton 400 V8 Supercars event. Her enthusiasm for all aspects of event management, practical experience in the hospitality industry and fine technological skills has ensured her a key position in our project team.

Since joining ForumPoint2 she been involved with the Tua Cameron Fight of the Century, the Rhythm and Vines Music Festival in 2009, and is currently working on the forthcoming Rhythm and Vines Festival 2010.
